THE CHALLENGE
Delivering diverse learning journeys to develop leaders with the wood industry
THE SOLUTION
With this in mind, Wood Campus was established as a multi-agency campaign, involving the Swedish Timber and a number of UK industry bodies and this initiative has been ongoing since 2009. A major part of this has been the Wood Campus eLearning project: Cortexa were tasked with producing a branded website with a range of online training and promotional assets.
A key success outcome was engaging with a number of audiences, and this was achieved by:
1. A website to promote the use wood across commercial construction, merchants, architects, and DIY. The content includes:
- Architect Continuing Professional Development
- A Product Knowledge Centre
- Demonstration Videos
- DIY Project Guide & Informative New Articles
2. An eLearning Academy LMS site hosting a Level 3 Award in Timber Merchanting course to train Timber Merchanting staff. The content includes:
- Four comprehensive sections with 19 individual eLearning modules
- 39 hours of training and associated course material
- A final one-hour assessment
3. Supporting promotional activity to advertise the highly professional and comprehensive assets available. This includes:
- A YouTube channel – content creation and management
- A full Social Media campaign
THE RESULT
Cortexa has provided an end-to-end solution which has seen website traffic and course uptake grow steadily throughout the project term.
Over the last 12 months:
- Organic traffic has grown by 309%
- Users have increased by further 17%
- Social Media traffic referrals have grown by 130%
