For organisations looking for a powerful and versatile learning management system (LMS), Totara has become the go-to solution. Totara 18 delivers a host of new features and enhancements that elevate the learner and admin experience. The modifications span the entirety of the Totara Talent Experience Platform (TXP), increasing the platform’s impact on an organisation’s end-to-end development strategy. We’ve highlighted five of the Totara 18 enhancements below. You can also see the full breakdown of enhancements in the video.
  • Enhanced Pathway Course Formatting: Courses with numerous activities are now more streamlined, presenting each activity or resource one at a time. This simplified overview allows learners to navigate through the course more efficiently and track their progress with clarity.
  • Scheduled User Deletion: Suspended user accounts can now be scheduled for deletion by administrators, automating compliance with data protection laws and making the process less complicated.
  • H5P Course Activity: Using H5P activities, administrators can now create and publish interactive videos, quizzes and games, allowing the easy creation of engaging and interactive training content, without the need of traditional eLearning authoring.
  • Multi-factor authentication (MFA) for Site Administrators: Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is a multi-step login process that helps to protect your Totara Site Administrator account by adding an extra layer of security. Totara’s MFA requires you to use an authenticator app in addition to your password to access your account.
  • Program Cloning: Complete program duplication is now possible for administrators, using the existing program as a template for new programs. Every detail, content, and notification will be transferred over seamlessly, saving valuable time.
