3 things we learned about eachother during World Wellbeing Week 2023

This year’s World Wellbeing Week occurred from June 26th to June 30th, 2023. This year’s theme is ‘anxiety’. Anxiety is a normal emotion in us all, but sometimes it can get out of control and become a mental health problem.

The importance of world wellbeing week in the workplace

World Wellbeing Week is an important event in the workplace as it promotes physical, emotional, and mental health. By participating in activities such as yoga, meditation, and mindfulness, employees can reduce stress and improve their overall wellbeing. This can lead to increased productivity and job satisfaction, as well as better relationships with colleagues. Employers can also benefit from a focus on wellbeing by reducing absenteeism and turnover rates. Ultimately, prioritizing employee wellbeing can lead to a positive and thriving work culture.

Discovering each other’s hidden talents

As a team that is mainly working remotely, mental health and wellbeing is an important aspect of our day-to-day working. We wanted to remind us to take time for ourselves and our mental and physical wellbeing so, we devised a ‘Wellbeing Bingo’, where we could complete activities like drinking a litre of water, spending time with a friend and having a virtual coffee and a catch up with everyone.

We had so much fun with our ’30-minute team coffee and a catch up’ that we have decided to keep virtually catching up over a coffee once a month from now on!
